Anema e Core

CAPRI – IT

Architect: Francesco Della Femina
Typology: Tavern

Anema e Core, Capri’s historic tavern, now boasts a renewed look thanks to a restyling project that has enhanced its original spirit without altering its ambience. The project was led by architect Francesco Della Femina, a native of Capri with international experience, with the goal of harmonizing the tradition of Capri’s old taverns with contemporary demands for functionality and comfort.

The restyling involved the entire tavern, with targeted interventions on the layout, the enhancement of the existing bars, and the creation of a new raised bar with a black marble and burnished brass top. Special attention was also given to the ceiling of the central room, which now houses a light installation inspired by the tavern’s historic symbols, and to the lighting, entirely custom-designed by local artisans.

“Anema e Core is a welcoming, lighthearted, and joyful place, and the project absolutely had to preserve that energy,” said the designer. “Every choice, from the materials to the furnishings, was carefully considered to respect the tavern’s historical identity and amplify its magic throughout every space.”

“Every detail, from the flooring to the finishes, has been designed to convey the same joy that has made Anema e Core famous worldwide,” added the Architect Della Femina. The result is a venue that combines tradition, comfort, and design, ready to welcome international guests in a unique atmosphere, blending historical memory and contemporary innovation, with a particular focus on the quality and sustainability of the solutions adopted.

Pluggable or battery-powered, the collection features a built-in infrared sensor, allowing for contactless activation. The activation distance is adjustable, while pre-mixing can be done remotely via a dedicated valve and centralized for all outlets.

Like the Diametro35 E-Flow touch-free faucet by Ritmonio, chosen for the restroom restyling, which combines contemporary aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability. A smart solution, ideal for shared spaces, it promotes well-being and hygiene by combining them with essentiality, formal purity, and proportions of unparalleled perfection.

With a water flow rate of 5 l/min, it helps achieve high levels of sustainability while minimizing waste. Thanks to its automatic shut-off and adjustable water temperature, it’s also an optimal solution for reducing consumption and saving energy.

The warm Brushed Champagne finish fits harmoniously into the overall design of the tavern, enhancing the rooms with a sophisticated, discreet touch.

“We chose this finish because it combines refinement and warmth, a solution that perfectly complements the cozy atmosphere of the tavern without ever being excessive. It’s also extremely practical: thanks to its high resistance to wear and tear and fingerprints, it’s ideal for a highly frequented space like this,” emphasizes the Architect.

The innate class of the Diametro35 E-Flow collection finds expression in an iconic context, where luxury and timeless elegance combine with the demands of health, user protection, and respect for the environment that dictate the design standards of contemporary public spaces. All this in keeping with the creativity and capacity for innovation that distinguish Ritmonio’s approach to bathroom design.
