A renovation aimed at finding greater living comfort, more in line with today’s standards. The aim of the project was to enhance the initial construction, rethinking the spaces to create harmony and balance, in the name of contemporaneity.

All the charm of Provence and the South of France, of the 1820s: this is what you find in this private home, which takes up the architectural codes typical of that time and its region. A building rich in history, witness to the past, the subject of a redesign and re-drawing intervention by Studio DAC – Architecture et Paysage.

On the upper floor, an attic has been created, where the master bedroom and a relaxation area are located. The materiality acts as a common thread between these different areas of the house: the exposed stone of the walls and the concrete are found on both the first and second floors, transmitting unity and coherence throughout the entire project.

The ground floor, initially fragmented into many small independent rooms, was opened into a single open space, which revolves around the kitchen as the main room, while maintaining the openings and views towards the outside. This made it possible to maximize the contribution of natural light and to favor an osmotic connection between indoors and outdoors. An entire glass wall and a skylight were created around the staircase, characteristic of Provençal houses of that time, here preserved and restored as an anchoring point for the entire complex.

The Black Stainless Steel finish also offers a touch of advanced modernity and responds to the needs of the most current interior design, attentive to aesthetics and functionality. Thanks to a perfect balance between form and function, Ritmonio is once again a symbol of modernity and freedom in contexts that have maximum versatility and offer a style in which to recognize oneself.

Here, even the bathroom environment has been completely rethought as the fulcrum of the level. All the elements are connected and respond to each other with symmetry, the clean design is seen as a vehicle of true well-being.
